Sometimes, you receive a Passolo file, and you need to convert it to XLIFF, TTX, or TMX for better handling.
László Kovács (TEK Localizations) wrote TÉK Passolo2XLIFF, a macro to export strings of a Passolo file to an XLIFF which can be translated in any CAT tool and then import the translations back to Passolo.
László also wrote another macro to convert Passolo files to TTX files, TÉK Passolo2TTX.
You can also use use TÉK Passolo2TMX. Click here to download the three Passolo scripts.
To activate the macro(s), extract the archive and add the *.bas file to:
Windows Vista/7/8: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Passolo Translator\2011\Macros
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Passolo Translator\2011\Macros
Open Passolo > File menu > Open, and select the *.tbulic11 file. and then open Tools menu > Macros, and select the macro; click Run.
Select the relevant options or keep the defaults and click Start.
The *xlf , *.ttx, or *.tmx file will be generated in the same folder as the *.tbulic11 file.
To import the translation back to the Passolo file, follow the same steps, but select Import translations and then Start; the files must be in the same folder.
